The Crisp Review
The Annexe at Paradise in The Vault
Monday 4th August 16.35
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We head to the Annexe at Paradise in the Vault, lured by the promise of comedy AND free crisps, where Adam Evans tells us his real life story of one man's devotion to crisps and the places it can lead you.
Born out of the pandemic, The Crisp Review began as an online blog reviewing crisps (it really is as simple as that) and ended with each member of the audience eating a packet of crisps that our host had designed himself and brought to life thanks to Yorkshire crisp producer Serious Pig. The show is a mixture of live story-telling using a big screen and slides interspersed with recorded video inserts.
It could be slicker in places, although as we saw the first show in the run there is time to work on that, and not all of the video inserts land as well as they might, but Evans is funny, engaging and (clearly) passionate about his subject. A show well worth your time and if you’re lucky you might find a Buble or a Duble in your packet too! Also, great crisps. (CB)
The Crisp Review is on daily at The Annexe at Paradise in The Vault until August 16th - details here
