Ted Hill: 110 Percent Normal

Studio Four at Assembly George Square Studios

Tuesday 5th August - 16.00

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ted Hill is a normal comedian, or so he wants us to believe, and he definitely isn’t autistic. He can’t be, because, Ted tells us, his brother is “really autistic” and he’s definitely not like him. He is however, not the most famous Ted Hill which has always annoyed him, this show may help him work his way up to at least number two which Ted will no doubt prove on a graph in next year’s show.  This show is full of graphs and of slides and graphics on a screen next to Ted on the stage.  I’ve always been a fan of multimedia comedy since seeing the king of powerpoint, Dave Gorman, do it a few years back and done well it can really take a show to the next level.

Ted does multimedia comedy well, we have graphs, we have video, we have animals, music, falcons and facts, I’m sure there may have been elephants too although they were hard to notice.  Most importantly we have jokes and there are plenty of laughs.

This is a fun show, one of the better multimedia shows I’ve seen in recent years and, most importantly, Hill is funny with it, there are no technology issues which can completely derail a show like this and the surprise guest towards the end of the show arrives on another piece of equipment that also works well.

At this rate, Hill will definitely be at least the number two Ted sooner rather than later, as for number one, only time will tell. (CB)
