Blodwen's in Town

We are in the Free Fringe now with a show hosted with great energy and perkiness by the aforesaid Blodwen with her Stacey-like accent, taking us on a journey from her small Welsh village, where nothing much happens, to the bright lights of the big city of London.

She recites her various “adventures” with great charm and humour, regularly interspersing the narrative with a suitably themed song. And this is where something very special happens. What a singing voice this young woman has! These are no easy songs either, from Tom Lehrer to a few songs famously covered by Barbra Steisand, but she performs all of them beautifully.

This is well worth a visit; you’ll enjoy the funny and bubbly narrative, but her singing is absolutely first class – prepare to be amazed. (DM)
