Frisky's Remix Roulette ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thursday 13th August 20.30

What a week Darkchat has had, so many fantastic shows from such a range of genres. When compiling our spreadsheet (of course we have one), Darkchat David always looks for a good show to finish with - something big, uplifting and fun. We are Frisky fans, having seen her before, and so Frisky's Remix Roulette, in the beautiful Bijou tent, felt the perfect way to say a reluctant farewell to the Festival for another year.
This is a show with audience participation dialled up to 11, because, to create the show each night, Frisky appoints an assistant (Darkchat Thuranie was happy to oblige) to help find audience members who select the songs to be performed by Frisky and her equally talented band. The songs are then transformed by being sung in a different and ideally inappropriate musical style, for example, the youngest audience member rather brilliantly chose the song Teenage Dirtbag to be performed in the style of a musical by Jason Robert Brown.
Frisky has a fantastic voice and has mastered a huge range of musical styles. She also has all the moves to go with each musical genre and the energy the keep the audience completely enthralled. It was a joyous way to spend an evening and has even made me want to be a bit more adventurous in my choice of music. She ends her glorious set with a stunning version of Baby Shark, even though it is a song I am happy to never hear again!
