C Cubed

Having thoroughly enjoyed LAMBCO's production of " Soho Boy" last year I was intrigued what shows producer Richard Lambert had available this year. For the first of a double bill I headed to C Arts for "Tickle" a Chris Burgess musical which does what it says on the tin.

Owen Dennis and David Heal play Callum and Chris a couple of lads who are logged into the voyeuristic world of online tickling, Lauren Wood is Davina who signs up the boys with Dereck Walker as Tina Tickle the unseen power behind the throne.

The show is really good fun with some exceptional and often moving songs. The cast are all outstanding but I have to give a special mention to Dereck Walker (also appearing in his own one man show "Twinkle") who dominates the stage with his presence and diction.

I had a good idea what to expect from "Tickle" but was surprised how good it was, proved by the fact that the audience all left C Cubed with a big smile on our faces. So, if you want to see a good musical I would highly recommend going to get yourself a "Tickle".

Tickle is on at C Cubed until August 27th
