What is IRC?
IRC is a way to chat to other people from all over the world, IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat , and is the most popular way of chating on the net, and mIRC is a program that you can download to connect to and IRC server. IRC is not somthing that you should just jump straight into, it is best to learn some basic cammands, on IRC java commands are very similar to other chat client program commands. It is best to learn some commands because you dont want to make yourself seem or feel like a prat if you have to keep asking how someone does somthing, most people on IRC will be willing to teach you and show you but there is the odd person that will just et anoyed with you.

Nickserv
The nickserv is used for register a nickname to stop other people from using it. You can get help directly from the services by typing
/msg nickserv help
Some commands you may need are:
/msg nickserv register pass email - Used to register your nick
/msg nickserv identify pass - Used to identify urself with nickserv each time you log on
/msg nickserv ghost nick pass - Used to kill your old nick off the server if you pinged out
Chanserv
The chanserv is used to register channels you own to stop other people from geting ops in the channel and taking it over. You must be oped in the channel to register it. You can get help directly from the services by typing
/msg chanserv help
Some commands you may need are:
/msg chanserv register #channel pass description - To register your channel
/msg chanserv drop #channel - To drop a channel, may only be used by the channel founder
/msg chansev sop #Channel add nickname - To add a super op to the channel
Botserv
The botserv is used to put a bot in the channel as soon as there is at least 1 person in the channel. You can get help directly from the services by typing
/msg botserv help
Some commands you made need are:
/msg botserv botlist - Shows you a list of all the bots currently in the botserv database
/msg botserv assign #channel botnick - Used to add a bot to #channel
/msg botserv unassign #channel - Removes a bot for #channel
Memoserv
The memoserv is used to send a memo to a nickname or channel which will recieve the next time the identify to the nickserv if they are not already done so. A full list of commands can be found by typing
/msg memoserv help
Some commands you may need are:
/msg memoserv send nick/channel memo-text - Sends a memo to the nick/channel
/msg memoserv cancel nick/channel - Cancels the last memo you sent to nick/channel
/msg memoserv list - List all your memos, if you add new to the end it will only list your new memos
/msg memoserv read number/new - Lets you see what the number/new memo was
/msg memoserv del number/new - Delets the number/new memoes
