Chat Clients
The chat client is what you use to get onto the chat server. There are loads available on the net. Some of the more popular of these clients are the java chat which is found on the website, then theres mirc, pirch and trillian and then if you are a linux/unix user there is X-chat or BitchX. Most of these are set up in a similar way but i will go through a quick tutorial on how to set up mirc up to get into the chat Darkchat.
Mirc
You can download mirc from here
1) When you have downloaded and installed mirc load it up.
2) A box will come up. On the box untick the box in the lower left and then click on the 'x' to close down this screen.
3) Another box should pop up. You will need to click on the  button which will allow you to type in the server details.
4) In the description box type, Darkchat IRC
5) In the IRC Server box type. 216.185.63.202
6) Check the port number is set to 6667 and then for a group type in Darkchat and then click on the add button
7) Repeat the last 3 steps again but for the description type Darkchat IRC2 and for the server type pkl.net and change the port number to 7000 and then put the group Darkchat in and click add
8) Fill in you details, nickname, realname, email address and alternative nickname.
9) Change the drop down menu on the 'IRC Servers' to Darkchat and then click on the 
10) Mirc should now be connecting to the server, once done if you type /list you should get a list of the channels, simply just double click on the channel you want to join.
